The art of standing out: the 2027 livery of Yamaha XSR900 GP

Yamaha’s history has long been defined by motorcycles that combine bold design with outstanding performance, pushing the boundaries of what was possible both on the road and on the track.

Yamaha’s history has long been defined by motorcycles that combine bold design with outstanding performance, pushing the boundaries of what was possible both on the road and on the track.

Today, Yamaha continues on the same path with the Sport Heritage line-up which combines iconic styling and design inspired by the legendary racers of the 1980s with modern CP3 engine, chassis and design technology.

The flagship of the range is the distinctive XSR900 GP, which captures the spirit of those legendary machines while bringing their attitude into the modern era for a new generation of riders to appreciate and experience.

For 2027, the XSR900 GP pays homage to one of their most recognisable Grand Prix racers of the 1980s – former French Grand Prix rider, Christian Sarron, with an all-new Legend Blue colourway, reminiscent of Sarron’s championship winning Sonauto Yamaha. This unmistakably bold design has helped make this a truly legendary livery and has influenced the modern style of the XSR900 GP.

The iconic blue livery is complemented with light blue speedblocks on the side fairings and tank, flanked by yellow stripes to catch the eye. The racing style yellow numberplates on both the front and seat cowl complete the look of this iconic machine.

COLOURS, AVAILABILITY AND PRICE

The XSR900 GP will be offered in the striking new Legend Blue colour, alongside the continued Legend Yellow. Delivery dates to European Yamaha dealers and prices vary per region, so please contact the national Yamaha distributor for full information.
